when the moon found the sun he looked like he was barely hanging on
but her eyes saved his life in the middle of summer
It was going on two weeks and Edward was finally going crazy with being away from his family and he'd gotten calls from Alice a few times since being here and it seemed she was going crazy just as well. She had even told him that Bella Swan seemed to noticed his absent away from school for the two weeks as well. Edward really didn't want to hear that, he didn't want this human girl to take any kind of interest in him, he didn't want to get himself involved with a human.
Today though, Edward felt that he was going to be okay, that he wasn't going to allow any of this bother him anymore. The vampire was going to stick to himself, keep to himself and only speak when he needed to to the teachers and if any of the other students asked him any question, he'd answer it and only that. How well all of this was going to go, he wasn't sure of himself.
As he drove down along the highway, weaving in and out of cars, racing to get home. He was anxious to be back and knew that Alice would see that he'd be coming home today. When he reached the Cullen home, Edward pulled the car into the garage and turned the engine off. It seemed quiet within the house and figured they were off doing things or maybe even hunting.
Edward shrugged a bit, as he flitted his way into the house and up to this room to drop his things off. He left his bags there and smiled to himself as he made his way back through the house and decided he wanted to go into Forks for a bit. Though, he really didn't want to drive and just went with his preferred way of traveling: running. The vampire boy took off in a sprint through the forest, taking in the scent of Forks all around him. He could honestly say that he had missed this place deeply, he had missed his family just as much.
Slowing himself down to a humanly walk, Edward wandered out of the trees surrounding Forks and stepped away from the shadows, glad to see that it was an over cast. The boy shoved his hands into his pockets and walked down along the sidewalks of Forks, happy to be back home.
