Bella was finally almost done with the school day, now all she had was Study Hall and then she could go home. She wondered if Jake would want to hang out today, though the roads were a bit icy, she just hoped she didn't hurt herself. Even after a year or so since she started driving, this was her first winter driving by herself and she feared that she would skid off the road. Even with the special tires she had on her truck.
Figuring she should attempt to get all of her homework out of the way, she sat at her usual chair nearest to the window. What was good about sitting there is that she was closest to the heater, and this room could get pretty cold at times. Sighing she opened her text book and opened her notebook to a clean page before she started to figure out the math problems she had gotten last period for homework.
Her mind flashed back to Lunch today. What was it about the new kids that made her feel almost uneasy? Running her fingers through her hair she shifted in her seat a little as the bell rang, indicating the beginning of the period.

Alice walked outside of the multiple building that made up Forks High School slowly. Though she knew where she was going, seeing as she had been here before now, a long time ago, no one knew that, so she would be excused for her lateness. Alice was still thinking about what had happened at lunch that day. She couldn't understand why Edward had been unable to read the brown headed girls mind, Isabella Swan, Alice had made it a mission of her to find out what she could about this girl. She hoped she would be able to find something that might tell her what was special about this girl. Alice had spent all of her classes since lunch trying to get ideas about what could be going on. She had done her work in a daze, though it was all flawless, she had barely given a second thought to what she was doing.
Alice was really not looking forward to the last period of the day. It was the only class that she didn't have with Jasper or any of her family memebers. She hated not having someone to talk to and she really hated that she wasn't with Jasper. They were practically inseperable and she dreaded anytime they were a part. It sounds clingy and everything, but when she wasn't with him she felt as though she were missing a part of herself. Alice sighed as she arrived at the door to the building her class was in. She paused momentarily before opening the door and heading off to her class.
When Alice entered the classroom she went up to the teacher and gave him an innocent smile while saying that she was sorry for being late and that she was still trying to find her way around school. The teacher didn't really seem to care seeing as he simply nodded and waved her off to find a seat. Study Hall wasn't her favorite period, but it gave her time to get her homework done quickly. She turned to face all the students in the class, ignoring any whispers that were going on amongst the students and walked back to the only open seat. She smiled slightly and paused only for a moment when she saw who she would be sitting next to. Isabella Swan, or Bella, Alice had heard that she went by Bella. She took the last few steps towards her seat and sat down. She looked over at the brown headed girl and gave her a friendly smile before saying quietly. "Hi, I'm Alice Cullen. Your Bella right?" Alice had always been a friendly, bubbly person. Some even called her pixie like. She saw this would be the perfect time to get to know the girl, though Edward would probably disapprove of Alice trying to get to know this girl, but since when did Alice listen to Edward?

Chewing on her nails as she did her homework, she reminded herself that she would have to get to the library some time today. Though she was definitely not looking forward to that. It was one thing to be klutzy, but to be klutzy with ice on ground was even worse. Plus, it always seemed to take forever before the sand was put on the roads, at least around here. Tapping her pencil against the side of her book as she tried to figure out what the answer to the next question was in her mind, she glanced up briefly when she heard someone talking to the teacher. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw it was one of the girl's from earlier. It just so happened that she was in her Study Hall now.
The teacher never seemed interested in what the students did in here, as he was always preoccupied. A lot of the students liked that though, because they could bring in their friends who were cutting class and he wouldn't notice and if he did, he didn't care. She supposed as long he got paid, he didn't really care. Bella watched as the short girl made her way over towards where she was sitting. She wondered how someone could walk so gracefully like the small girl did and wished she could walk without stumbling about. Something she did on a daily basis.
When she took a seat next to her, Bella tried to act as if she hadn't seen her. However, when she greeted her, she couldn't help but look over at her. "Um, yeah." Bella said quietly before smiling a little. "You're new here?" She questioned.

While Alice was waiting for an answer from Bella the heater aboe them blew the sent of Bella towards her. Alice sucked in a short almost none noticeable breath. It had been three days since she had hunted last and Bella smelled very, appitizing. Alice tried to not let her dull golden eyes show that something felt off inside her. She had years of practice at this so she was hoping that she had done a good job at masking the look of hunger in her eyes. She leaned back a bit in her chair looking very casual and relaxed, even though in her mind she was trying to push away the fact that Bella had alerted her to her thirst. Alice looked away from Bella for a moment and pulled out her history book and a sheet of paper. She opened her book to the correct chapter that she was to summerize and began reading and writing things down with nearly flawless penmenship.
When Bella spoke, Alice looked up at her and gave a bright smile. "Yup," She nodded feigning excitment, she was really new to Forks, but she had to keep up her family's sherad, if one of them messed up they would all be in trouble. Alice turned her attention back to her book and assingment, but still partly focused on Bella. She had pegged this girl correctly at lunch so far. She was quiet, even if Alice could hear every word she said perfectly, but she seemed like a very friendly girl. Most humans would turn their noses up if one of the Cullens tried to talk to them, or they would be to frightend or stunned to say anything back. Kepping her eyes on her book Alice asked Bella in a friendly pleasent tone. "So do you like living in Forks?"

Bella chewed on her bottom lip before she glanced out the window. She could feel herself slouching down in her seat. She felt almost embarassed to be sitting next to someone so beautiful. She glanced up to see some kids staring in their direction, though mostly at Alice. Bella glanced over at Alice again, to see her writing something, it looked like she was doing homework. Well, at least someone aside from herself decided to get their homework out of the way. Rubbing her arm where she had got a bruise from getting hit in the arm with a dodge ball, she winced a little before letting her arm drop to her side again. Why did the gym teacher torture her like this and make her play when she was obviously no good at it?
Bella smiled gently when Alice told her that she was in fact new to Forks, "Cool, well I hope you like it here." Bella said before going back to her work. She was a bit surprised to hear someone talking to her, especially her. Sure, she had a few friends here, but for the most part she talked to Jake about everything. When Alice asked if she liked living here, Bella looked over at her again. "Um, yeah I suppose. I haven't lived anywhere else." Bella explained with a shrug, "What about you? Are you liking it here?"

Alice wondered if Edward would somehow figure out that Alice had been friendly torwards Bella. She mentally cringed at the fight that they would probably get in. Alice always hated to fight with her family, but she especially hated to fight with Edward. He was probably her favorite out of her family members, aside from Jasper. Of course Alice loved everyone in her family, but Edward was the easiest to get along with, she could understand him and talk to him, and him being able to read her thoughts helped.
Alice watched as Bella went back to her work. She didn't really seem that willing to talk so much, she seemed shy and slightly stunned that Alice was trying to talk to her. Though Alice, being Alice wasn't one to give up on getting someone to talk. "Yeah I like it here. I've always had a thing for rainy cloudy places." Alice smiled, "The only thing I don't like about it is that I have to drive all the way to Seattle to have a decent shopping trip." She said almost sadly..

While Bella waited for her answer, she went back to her homework. She was rather horrible at writing, she had never had great penmanship. Scribbling down the answer to her first math problem, she realized something was off about it and sighed in frustration. She was having a hard time with this topic they were currently on, but was too stubborn to ask for help. Erasing it, she then dusted off the bits of rubber from the eraser off of her paper. Chewing on her finger nails she decided her calculator would really come in handy right now and took it out. Pressing a few keys she was pretty sure this was the correct answer and wrote it down.
Bella turned her gaze to Alice when she told her that she did like it here, though she was upset about the drive to Seattle she'd have to make to get some decent shopping done. "Oh, well I don't really care for shopping, but there are some nice places in Port Angeles, it's a lot closer." Bella offered, still surprised that Alice was talking to her, for some reason she got the feeling she had been popular at her old school. She just gave off that sort of confidence.

Alice watched as Bella seemed to be struggling a bit with her math homework. Alice had gotten hers done in class, Math was perhaps her least favorite subject, it was a boring jumble of numbers to her. After she had been changed, when she went back to school math had been the hardest subject for her. Of course now it was all the same, she could do it in her sleep, but she had the feeling that when she was human she might have failed math class. Alice thought of offering to help Bella with her math but then she pulled out a calculator and redue the problem, well at least she knew when something didn't look right.
A look of mock horror fell upon Alice's face when Bella said that se didn't care for shopping. Shopping might as well have been half of Alice's life. "Don't care for shopping? Well, you've obviously never been shopping with an expert, you would love it!" Alice's voice held a slightly joking tone, then an idea popped into her head. Edward was really not going to like this one... "I have an idea. Bella would you like to go shopping with me this weekend in seattle?" Her voice was hopefull as she waited for the girls reply. Her face was that of a hoprful little girl asking someone for an ice cream cone. Cute, pixie like, almost unable to deny.

Bella went back to her homework while she waited for Alice's response to that. Obviously the teacher had no problem with people talking, because basically everyone was. She thought she had heard her name and Alice's a few times, but she did have an over-active imagination so far all she knew they were talking about today's lunch. Even so, Bella could feel her cheeks go slightly red as she let her hair fall across her face, hiding her face from view. She was so easily embarrassed. As she lost her train of thought she began to scribble a drawing at the top of her paper, though it was really nothing in particular.
Bella glanced up at Alice when she began to speak again and noticed the mock horror on her features. She cringed slightly, even if Alice was just trying to be nice she really loathed shopping. She felt even worse when Alice offered to take her shopping, there was something in Alice's face and voice that made it hard to say no to her. "I um...I don't know." Bella said quietly. "Shopping's really just not my thing." She hated turning people down, but why go somewhere if you were not going to enjoy it. "My friend Angela needs help with a bake sale, do you like baking?" She offered.

As Alice waited for Bella to answer her question she listened to the chattering teenagers around her. Some were talking about Edward's episode at lunch earlier, others were talking about some class that they hated, and some were talking about her. They all wondered why Alice was talking to Bella, some were even jealous of Bella. They were all scared to talk to her but they thought it would make them more popular if one of the Cullens would start a conversation with them or some nonsense like that. Alice didn't understand these people. To judgemental or scared to talk to someone but if the person starts the conversation then it was fine.
Alice's face fel slightly when Bella turned down her shopping offer. But a small smile made its way to her lips when Bella asked her if she liked to bake. Alice hadn't baked in a long long time, there was no need to when you didn't eat, but she knew how to bake just fine. Alice hesitated for a moment, not sure if her famly would approve of her going to help bake with two humans. She looked at Bella again. "Are you sure Angela won't mind?" Alice knew that most humans liked to stear clear of the Cullens, normally not wanting anything to do with them. Alice didn't want to show up to help bake and have someone there that didn't like her or wasn't comfortable around her. It was rude.

Running her fingers through her hair, she glanced around briefly and saw some students peering over their shoulders at her. Which quickly made her cheeks go red and tear her gaze away from them. Chewing on her nails she glanced down at her paper, waiting for Alice to tell her if she would like to bake or not. Completely unaware that it had been quite some time since Alice had baked.
Shifting in her seat she crossed one leg over the other to get more comfortable, after all, sitting in a plastic seat wasn't the most comfortable thing to sit on. Bella looked up right before Alice asked if Angela wouldn't mind. Bella shook her head with a small smile, "I think she'd appreciate the extra help." Bella said honestly. She liked Alice, she seemed very nice. "This is only if you want to though." She added, just so she didn't feel pressure into doing something she didn't want to do.

Alice closed her History book after she had finished summerizing the chapter. She read over her work briefly making sure she hadn't made any mistakes and that everything made sense. When she was satisfied that it was perfect, she opened her folder and stuck the paper inside it before pulling out a work sheet she had to do for her biology class. Alice started to read over the questions before answering them, not doing them to quickly, not wanting to have to sit with nothing to do for the rest of class.
Alice watched as Bella adjusted herself in the uncomfortable plastic chair. Alice thought that they really should invest in getting more comfortable seating arrangments. It might help people focus more on class then on how uncomfortable they were just sitting still for and hour in a hard plastic chair. Alice nodded enthusiacstically when Bella asked if she wanted to help bake. She wanted to get to know more about Bella and hopfully she would be able to find out what it was about her that had Edward so crazy. As another breeze from the heater blew Bella's sent to Alice again. This time she caught the sent of a mutt on her. One of the mutts from La Push, she was friends with them? Alice kept her nose from wrinkling at the stench that was easy to identify as a werewolf's, Alice highly dobuted that Bella knew about the people she was hanging out with. How would anyone actully want to hang out with one of those mutts?

Bella chewed on her pencil while she shifted in her seat again before placing her leg underneath her, which was a more comfortable position for Bella. She smiled when Alice nodded enthusiastically before she heard Angela's soft voice as she spoke to the teacher, "Speaking of-" Bella said before she looked to her shy friend who gave her a wave as she began to make her way over to sit in front of Bella.
It took a moment for Angela to realize one of the new girls in school was sitting next to Bella, and she was slightly surprise by how pretty she was. She was never good with new people, she was always afraid of saying something stupid. After a minute though she finally spoke up, Hey, I'm Angela Weber." She said, greeting herself to Alice.
"Hey Ang, I got someone else to help us out with the bake sale." Bella said quietly, loud enough for Angela to hear though. The look on her friend's face was priceless, she looked excited to hear that someone, aside from her, Bella and Jessica were willing to help. The more help the better. Considering the short amount of time they had to get things done. "Really, who?"[/i] She asked, but Bella did not answer. Figuring Alice would do so herself, though she did look over at the small girl.

Alice looked at Bella quickly when she started to say something but then stopped and looked at someone entering the classroom. Alice looked to the front of the class room to see a girl speaking to the teacher. Alice couldn't even here here she was speaking so softly. Alice watched as the shy looking girl made her way over to Alice and Bella and sat in front of them. She looked like a very nice girl. Alice knew that she would be in trouble with her whole family if she started picking up human friends all over the place. She got the feeling she wasn't going to be able to be friends with this Angela girl past the bake sale.
When Angela introduced herself Alice smiled and gave her a small wave. "Hi Angela, I'm Alice Cullen." Alice gave the girl her best friendly smile, not wanting to seem unfriendly or what ever other rumors about the Cullens went around. They did look like a group of the snotty teenagers you would see at at presigious rich boarding school. All insanly beautiful, and since everyone of the Cullens seemed like they refused to associate with the other kids, she could see how they that they were snooty rich teenagers.
When Bella shot Alice a little look after Angela asked who Bella had found to help with the bake sale. Alice looked back at Angela and said sweetly. "Me.....If its okay with you that is." She smiled again as she waited for Angela's anwser. She already new she was going to say yes, but she had to act like she didn't know what was going to happen next all the time. It would be strange if she just went about telling people what was going to happen next in their lives.

Angela looked through her bag to get out herself so she could finish up her math homework, as she would not have time when she got home. When Alice introduced herself she smiled gently, "It's nice to meet you, Alice."[/i] Angela said softly before looking to Bella again, seeing if she had finished her homework yet or not, and also curious as to who was going to be helping her. When Angela heard Alice tell her that she was, if that was okay with her, Angela turned her gaze to Alice quickly. A smile quickly came to her features, "That would be wonderful! Oh thank you, Alice." Angela said in a sincerely grateful tone. Bella couldn't help but smile, she enjoyed seeing her friends happy. ((So sorry! I know I usually write more than that, but it's as much as I could come up with right now. I'm really sorry. ))
